David Evans, born in October 1859 in Mecklenburg, Virginia, son of William and Emaline Evans. The birth records in Virginia were "delayed" and not recorded at the time of David's birth. So, the year may not be accurate. 

William and Emeline Evans, are possibly the parents of David Evans, who was born in 1845 in Virginia.

There is a document connecting David Evans with William and Emeline Evans. But, additional research will be necessary to accurately state that William and Emeline Evans are David's parents.

On September 14, 1870, David and his wife, Ann, with their children, David Evans, 8 years old , Isaac Evans, 4 years old, and Allen Evans, 3 years old, lived in Clarksville, Mecklenburg County, Virginia. David Evans (Sr) was employed as a farm Labor.

 

NOTE: A few houses from the Evans family lived a "SKIPWITH" family.

On October 28, 1885, David Evans, married Malissa Yancy in Mecklinburg, Virginia.

Alice Priscilla Evans, born July 29, 1895, in Mecklenburg, Virginia. She married Nathan CARRINGTON.

Nathan and Alice (EVANS) Carrington's children were:

  • Harold Carrington, born in 1914 in Clarksville, Virginia. 

  • June Carrington, born in 1915 in Clarksville, Virginia. 

  • Emma Carrington, born in 1917 in Clarksville, Virginia. 

  • Edmund Carrington, 1918, Clarksville, Virginia

  • Hattie (Harriett) Carrington, born in 1921 in Clarksville, Virginia. 

  • Nathaniel Carrington, born in 1925 in Clarksville, Virginia. 

  • Pinky Carrington, born in 1927.

  • Lawrence Carrington, born in 1929 in Clarksville, Virginia.

On February 11, 1958, in Clarksville, Virginia, Alice died of coronary thrombosis.

John and Caroline (Jones) Evans

JOHN EVANS, born in 1877, in Clarkville, Mecklenburg County, Virginia, son of David and Malissa (Yancy) Evans. 

On  December 28,  1896, in Mecklinburg County, Virginia, John Evans, married Carolina Jones, daughter of Wilson and Easter Jones of Mecklenburg County, Virginia.

Children: 

  • Walter Evans, born in 1896 in North Carolina. Walter Evans, married Lucy SKIPWITH and relocated to Monmouth County, New Jersey. 

​

  • Annie Evans, born in 1898 in North Carolina. Annie Evans married John INGRAM and lived in North Carolina.  

​

  • Pearl Evans, born in 1900 in North Carolina. Pearl Evans married Sandy YANCY  and lived in North Carolina. 

​​

  • John Evans, born 1903

​

  • Watt Evans, born 1905

​

  • Robert Evans born in 1907

​

  • Lulu Evans, born in 1908 married Mr.  George BASKET and lived in New Jersey.

Warren County, North Carolina

John Evans, born in 1877 in Granville County, North Carolina, son of David and Ann Evans of Mecklinburg, Virginia. John Evans married Carolina (Jones), daughter of Wilson and Easter Jones. Caroline Jones was born in 1879 in North Carolina.

In 1910, John and Carolina Evans lived in Nutbush township, Warren County, North Carolina, with their children, Walter Evans, 14 years old, Annie Evans, 12 years old, Pearl Evans, 10 years old, John Evans, 7 years old, Watts Evans, 5 years old, Robert Evans, 3 years old, and Lulu Evans, 2 years old. 

​

John Evans was a Farmer and worked in the farming industry. He was able to read and write and rented his home in North Carolina. His oldest, son Walter Evans, was employed as a "labor" on a farm. He was able to read and write.

Mary Magdalene Evans

On October 10, 1973, Maggie Evans filed for her birth certificate at the North Carolina State Board of Health. She stated that she was born on July 4, 1914, in Warren County, North Carolina, and John and Carolina (Jones) Evans were her parents. 

​

In 1973, she lived in Manson, North Caorlina, and  her surname was "HENDRICKS"

On June 4, 1880, the Jones family lived in Nutbush Township, Warren County, North Carolina. Wilson Jones, age 39, was employed in farm labor and was born in North Carolina, as his parents. , his wife, Easter, age 30 (1850), was employed as a cook. Their children, Robert Jones, age 12 was employed as farm labor, (Note: Robert Jones lives next to his sister, Carolina (Jones) Evans in 1910 with his family,), Anthony Jones, 9 years old (1871), Frances Jones, 7 years old (1873), Mary Jones, 5 years old (1875), Sylvia Jones, 3 years old (1877), and Carolina Jones, 1-year-old, (1879).
